Summary
The Connections Administrative Assistant supports the visitor and new member connection process at the Elizabethtown campus. They have an enthusiasm for people and getting them connected into various groups and serving opportunities. This role also serves the Elizabethtown campus staff, church family and community by being the first point of contact for guests, callers and inquiries. This role will ensure that every individual that reaches out receives clear, timely communication and experiences the care and attentiveness that reflects the heart of our church. We want people to feel seen and valued-not lost in a big church-and this role plays a key part in helping our church feel personal, responsive, and accessible.
What you will be doing:
- Work with ministries to provide the necessary support to help enable visitors and new members to get connected with the appropriate resources and groups
- Manage the onboarding process for new members (paperwork/recognition/reporting); including ROCK database management, running reports, and sending out information about Connection events in a timely manner.
- Assist the Connections team with breaking down barriers and developing relationships with volunteers for the purpose of getting them connected with their passion for serving.
- Assist with communication, organization, and implementation of meetings and events with volunteer teams.
- Help maintain the social media strategy.
- Help with the creation of promotional material and graphics.
- Front Desk Presence: Serving as the first point of contact for guests, visitors, and community members who come to the campus during the week, offering a warm and welcoming experience.
- Phone Communication: Managing the main church phone line by answering general questions and transferring calls to the appropriate staff or ministry area.
- Deliveries & Vendors: Receiving packages and deliveries, while developing positive relationships with delivery personnel and vendors.
- Office Supply Management: Overseeing the budget and inventory for general office supplies, ensuring items are stocked and available as needed.
- Workstation Relocation: Transitioning the primary workstation to the front desk area, including organizing and utilizing the window space and bookcase to support your role effectively.

Required Education, Experience, and Southeast Membership
- Previous experience in administrative work or customer service preferred.
- Technical support and design skills
- Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one.
