Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant provides general administrative support and clerical assistance to various departments such as Finance, Quality, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Program Management. Position is comprised of general clerical duties which will vary by department.

Examples of such duties include:

• Scanning, organizing, and maintaining file systems • Answering the telephone, greeting visitors, and sorting mail • Composing and typing routine correspondence, including e-mail and faxes • Conducting research and compiling and typing statistical reports • Making copies of correspondence or other printed materials

Duties & Responsibilities

• Inputs computer data entry into ERP system or other database management software • Performs general clerical duties, which may include scanning, organizing, and maintaining file systems, answering the telephone, greeting visitors, and sorting mail • Composes and types routine correspondence, including e-mail and faxes, conducts research and compiles and types statistical reports • Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials • Maintains a professional demeanor to enhance the companys image with customers and suppliers • Observes shop floor as required • Attends and participates in departmental meetings as requested • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area • Must be willing and able to work overtime as necessary • Acceptable attendance is an essential function of the position • Performs other duties as assigned or required by the position
