Administrative Assistant

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years related post high school training desirable but not required
  • Administrative assistant experience with progressively increasing responsibilities
  • Demonstrated competency in problem solving, communication, customer service, teamwork, project management, and technology applications
  • Experience with educational technology applications such as USAS Redesign, EMIS, STARS etc. are desirable, but not required.
  • Proficient use of web-based technology applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong desire to serve and support customers and colleagues

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs administrative support duties for multiple administrators within a collaborative work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office applications, with demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Manage and maintain accurate budgets (creating purchase orders, maintaining accurate balance sheets, and submitting invoices for payment)
  • Provide quality service and support for internal and external customers
  • Create workshop and presentation materials using technology such as copier, print shop, web-based registration systems
  • Create and maintain databases
  • Build and maintain strong inter-personal relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Prepare reports and other materials as needed by individual service areas
  • Perform daily support functions such as drafting and/or finalizing correspondence, ordering materials, and staff support
  • Manage messages, phone calls, schedules, and customer interactions.
  • Provide back-up support for other service areas as needed, as part of team-based support design
  • Assume other duties as assigned
