Summary/Objective
Under general supervision, an Administrative Assistant performs a variety of confidential and complex secretarial and administrative duties in support of Finance Department. This classification is distinguished from secretarial and clerical classifications by the more complex, responsible and sensitive duties.
Essential Functions

- Respond to all internal and external customers, as it relates to position, in a prompt, efficient, friendly, and patient manner.
- Receive and respond to inquiries made by telephone, email and in-person.
- Perform a wide variety of secretarial and administrative duties to include composing correspondence, filing, compiling data and preparing reports.
- Assist with Student Information Specialists in the compilation and verification of student data.
- Compile statistics for a variety of reports.
- Revise Student Attendance Manual and assist with trainings.
- Act as a resource person for registrars and attendance technicians.
- Monitor daily attendance records for accuracy.
- Assist in yearly enrollment and withdrawal of students.
- Maintain appropriate files and records.
- Assist in the preparation of Excel documents in support of Accounts Payable and Payroll.
- Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all policies, regulations and rules.
- Perform related duties as assigned in a safe and prudent manner.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment in the district office of Kingman Unified School District #20. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
At-will Notice of Employment does not provide a guarantee of a particular schedule of work, or a minimum number of days or hours.
This is a 12-month, 40-hour per week position. Extended work hours to meet deadlines may occasionally be required.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent and three or more years progressively responsible office experience, or any similar combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Office experience within a school setting.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
