To support the delivery of School District 91's written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement Test.
To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the child nutrition program so that the program's maximum positive impact on the education and health of children can be achieved.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Familiar with and adheres to USDA nutritional regulations.
Performs general banking duties daily.
Coordinates appointments for trainings and interviews. Oversees training of new employees.
Tracks each employee's professional standards and ensures they have met the required hours.
Enters inventory information from all of the schools in the inventory tracking system.
Maintains accurate records and completes all required paperwork in a timely manner.
Understands and adheres to health and sanitation procedures.
Performs required secretarial and clerical duties.
Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP)
Complete and submit yearly application for schools that qualify for program
Maintain applications and files for FFVP
Train all staff participating in FFVP-maintain documentation
Complete FFVP reviews at all school locations
Work with teachers/principals closely to receive adequate feedback of program
Develop education and marketing material for FFVP
Prepare monthly reimbursement claim
Process invoices and credits for FFVP, submit for approval to CN Supervisor
Assists with coverage for cashiers, kitchens, and serving when needed.
Ensures that all cashiers are following current board policy for charges.
Must demonstrate basic knowledge of nutrient analysis software, i.e., accessing monthly menus
Tracks and maintains record of CN staff attendance at all school locations.
Answers the telephone in a pleasant and professional manner directing caller to appropriate staff member.
Attend conferences, trainings and obtains Servsafe certification.
Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
Has regular and predictable attendance.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a full time position scheduled for 40 hours a week for 200 days a year. The exact terms of this position will be determined by the needs of the district and budgetary constraints. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 6-8 ranges from $17.63-$21.11 (with a bachelors degree or 5 years relevant experience) per hour.
This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The "employment at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Child Nutrition Supervisor in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
This position has been given an overall physical classification of light duty.
