Richfield Middle School is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and student-centered Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position serves as the central hub of our school office and is essential to the daily operation of the school. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the principal and school staff while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced school environment.
- Oversee the daily operations of the student health room, including medication administration, health documentation, student health plans, and communication with families.
- Serve as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors by providing exceptional customer service in a welcoming, professional, and solution-oriented manner.
- Anticipate office needs, exercise sound judgment, solve problems proactively, and take initiative to ensure the efficient operation of the school office.
- Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and other communications, ensuring timely, accurate, and confidential responses.
- Maintain accurate student records, enrollment, attendance, scheduling, registration, and reporting using the district''s Student Information System (Skyward).
- Coordinate and support school and district processes, including annual student registration configuration, summer school operations, student scheduling, and annual Student Information System rollover.
- Assist with school and district data management, reconciliation, and required state and federal reporting processes.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, field trips, and major school events
- Develop and distribute school newsletters, digital signage, and other school communications using district-approved platforms.
- Support curriculum implementation through the organization, inventory, distribution, and management of instructional materials.
- Assist with district receiving, purchasing support, and maintaining an organized, welcoming front office environment.
- Collaborate effectively with administrators, educators, and district staff while demonstrating the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Participate in professional learning and perform other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the school.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate''s or bachelor''s degree preferred.
- Previous administrative or office experience preferred; experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Experience with student health room responsibilities, medication administration, or student health records is highly desirable.
- Experience with Skyward Student Management software is preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, Gmail, and Calendar.
