Manchester University is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused professional to join our Human Resources team. The Administrative Assistant serves as the front-line point of contact for HR, supporting employees, faculty, and students while helping ensure smooth daily operations. This position also provides significant support for student employment (approximately 50% of the role, with seasonal peaks). The ideal candidate possesses the ability to work independently with strong attention to detail, effectively manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly and proactively, and provide friendly, customer-focused support.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR questions (in person, email, phone)
- Provide accurate information and route more complex inquiries
- Support student employment processes, including onboarding and record management
- Enter and maintain data in HR systems with a high level of accuracy
- Assist with onboarding, communications, and general HR administrative tasks
What You'll Need:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ year of administrative, customer service, or HR support experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office; HRIS experience a plus
