Administrative Assistant I
Location: San Diego, CA 92123 (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
Duration: Contract through End of Year
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily operations within a fast-paced business environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional or recent graduate looking to gain valuable administrative experience while working alongside multiple departments and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing administrative tasks, coordinating requests, and communicating professionally with internal teams. Strong computer skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to department personnel and project teams.
- Coordinate and process incoming customer service requests and work orders.
- Communicate with internal departments to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and tracking systems.
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and document management.
- Draft and review professional emails, correspondence, and written communications.
- Monitor project status updates and follow up with stakeholders as needed.
- Support special projects and other administrative initiatives.
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 0–2 years of administrative, office support, customer service, or coordination experience.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
- Comfortable learning new software, systems, and processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and ask questions when clarification is needed.
- Construction, utilities, engineering, or operations-related experience is a plus but not required.
