Introduction

The Office of Real Property Asset Management and Planning is seeking a temporary Administrative Assistant II to provide administrative support for the land acquisition team that works on a variety of transportation related land acquisition projects.

Job Summary

Duties of the Administrative Assistant II include:

  • Coordinate with the Office of the County Attorney on deed preparation and recordation
  • Submit Oracle Supplier Request Forms
  • Process payments in Trimble
  • Save copies of recorded deeds to appropriate files in Trimble
  • Notary services
  • Provide coordination throughout the offer packet review process

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively and professionally, and a willingness to work in a collaborative team environment. This position supports a busy office through daily administrative operations, document preparation, records management, and other functions that help keep team activities running smoothly. Candidates should be dependable, detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. This is a fully in-person position with no hybrid or telework options available. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent; two (2) years of related clerical/administrative work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Successful candidates will undergo background checks as required. Candidate must hold or obtain a Virginia Notary Public license within 30 days of hire.
