EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education Agency.
PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY:
Support the Director of School - Krueger School of Applied Technology (KSAT) Magnet School, staff, and the students of the program.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports KSAT magnet school director, faculty, and students.
Coordinates logistics and communications for KSAT field trips and rocket launches, including out of town/ out of state trips.
Interacts with parents, students, North East Independent School District (NEISD) staff, university staff, and the community via oral and written communication.
Creates print and non-print documents for correspondence and promotional materials.
Utilizes the Lawson Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for purchasing, receiving, and budgeting.
Maintains the program's budget.
Maintains and updates KSAT magnet school student database.
Organizes recruiting events to include the community and media.
Develops a database of applicants and coordinates with the Krueger Data Processor to get students enrolled in the KSAT program.
Creates and maintains databases for students and faculty.
Creates newsletters, brochures, and letters to promote the interests of the program.
Sends informational packets to a variety of stakeholders.
Utilizes the internet to seek out information regarding programs at other magnet schools and universities.
Contacts business and university professionals and members of the community to enlist support for the program.
Assists in the organization and implementation of the KSAT magnet school summer Technology Camp.
Creates and maintains filing system, both paper and electronic.
Maintains confidentiality of information.
Reports to work on time every day.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
