Aggie Career Studio at NMSU is looking for an organized, energetic, and service-minded Administrative Assistant who enjoys connecting with people and helping a team thrive.

As the welcoming face of the Career Studio, you'll help create an engaging and supportive experience for students, employers, campus partners, and visitors. From coordinating day-to-day operations and supporting career events to assisting with communications, scheduling, and special projects, you'll play an important role in keeping the Studio running smoothly and advancing our mission of preparing Aggies for career success.

We're looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a collaborative, student-centered environment. Position Title: Administrative Assistant Intermediate

College/Division: Student Enrollment and Success

Department: 522000-CORPORATE RELATIONS & CAREER EVENTS

Location: Las Cruces

Target Hourly/Salary Rate: $17.85

Appointment Full-time Equivalency: 1.0

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Bargaining Unit Announcement: This is a bargaining unit position with American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME).

Contingent Upon Funding: Not Applicable

Standard Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5)

If Not a Standard Work Schedule:

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provides administrative support for Career Services Office and other Student Enrollment and Success units.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

High School diploma + 3 years of relevant experience or an Associate's

Degree + 1 year of relevant experience.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Physical Effort: No or very limited physical effort required.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.

Risk: No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
