Starting Pay: $19.30

Administrative Assistant 8:00am to 4:30pm, 8 hours a day for 52 weeks

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:

Employees in this group perform administrative assistant duties requiring proficiency in the areas of office management, fiscal management, and customer relations. Administrative Assistant is distinguished from the clerk by the increased responsibility and skill expected in the duties of this classification. These employees are required to possess computer, accounting and clerical skills required to maintain the school building and/or department. Person required to possess accounting and bookkeeping skills to maintain school building or group budget. Record keeping and handling of money required. These positions assist the administrators by performing a variety of tasks related to meeting, conference and building schedules. They handle correspondences and coordinate work flow. Administrative Assistant test will be administered to all interview candidates.

SKILLS:

Typing of 60 words per minute

Ability to proof read and compose documents

Ability to use Office Machines and Telephones

Basic Accounting

Knowledge of Spreadsheets/Desktop Publisher/Internet/Email/Computer Operations

Inventory Control/Ability to File

Basic First Aid

Basic Communications
