NYTech’s College of Engineering & Computing Sciences seeks an Administrative Assistant located at the New York City campus.

Responsibilities:
  • Understands and adheres to the Values, Mission, and Vision of the NYIT College of Engineering and Computing Sciences.
  • Reports and provides administrative support to the Manhattan Chairs of Undergraduate and Graduate Programs in Computer Science, and Electrical and Computer Engineering and serves the program’s students and faculty.
  • Assists with operational activities that include organization and facilitation of meetings and conferences.
  • Participates actively in outreach communications, as well as retention activities and special projects as assigned by the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences.
  • Assists with advisement, assessment, and accreditation materials.
  • Assists with all on-campus events at two NY campuses (New York City and Long Island).
  • Is responsible for the administration, security, confidentiality, and retention of office files. This includes administrative correspondence and documentation.
  • Serves as an integral component in staff, faculty, and student activities.
  • Manage Student Aids, Federal Work Study Students, and Graduate Assistants
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, in-person.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Demonstrates a pleasant, courteous, and professional demeanor.
  • Possesses working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able and willing to be trained in administrative systems, including student information systems, faculty compensation systems, and related applications.
  • Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Consistently completes tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Always maintains the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.

 

Minimum Salary: USD $42,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary: USD $48,175.00/Yr.
