The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to staff in the Nome office to promote a productive and efficient office. This position will assist with coordination and completion of general clerical activities for all NSEDC offices. Supervision Received: The position receives supervision from the Chief Operating Officer who monitors work performance and gives work direction. The position functions under close supervision. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities - Check, open, date stamp, sort and distribute mail.
- Answer telephone and provide information or assistance or route callers to appropriate staff members.
- Greet visitors and direct them appropriately.
- Monitor office supplies and place orders or procure new supplies as appropriate.
- Operate and maintain postage meter, phone system, and copiers.
- Maintain general professional and organized appearance of common areas, including some light cleaning and housekeeping
- Assist with logistics, receiving, shipping, coordination and tracking of items into and through Nome
- Assist with preparation for meetings held in Nome, including shopping and stocking of boardroom
- Assist with the development of outreach materials, such as fliers, posters and social media postings
- Assist staff with various research or special projects
- Assist in the facilitation of NSEDC's drug screening program
- Monitor drug screening supplies and coordinate with HR to restock
- Other duties as assigned
