Mission

We are looking for an organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations at our North Charleston, SC location.

Profile

The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the local management team and ensures efficient office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily administrative support to managers, supervisors, and departmental staff.
  • Maintain employee records and support onboarding documentation
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, memos and internal communications
  • Manage office supplies, inventory, and vendor coordination.
  • Support scheduling, meeting preparation, and conference room logistics.
  • Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and spreadsheets as needed.
  • Support safety, training, HR, and operations departments with administrative tasks
  • Coordinates and processes bus pass sales, ensuring accurate transactions and customer support
  • Oversees lost & found operations including documentation, storage, and return of recovered items.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the facility and leadership team.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of administrative or clerical experience (transportation or operations experience is a plus)
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
Work Environment:
  • Office setting within an active transit operations facility
  • Daily interaction with drivers, supervisors, management, and visitors
  • Occasional need to support front office during peak hours.

Salary: $17.00/hourly
