The person in this position will provide paralegal support to litigation attorneys in the Business and Legal Affairs Department.How you'll CREATESupport policing of infringement of our content, including the investigation, evidence collection, confirmation of rights, and working with counsel to assert and pursue claimsResearch claims asserted by and against UMG business unitsAssist in responding to discovery requests, subpoenas, liens, and leviesAssist with a comprehensive quarterly report of legal matters affecting the company, including liaising with other attorneys, departments and agencies for updated informationReview and summarize contractsPrepare and revise agreements, charts, memoranda, correspondence and other documentsProvide administrative support, including preparation and handling of correspondence, expense reports, and travel arrangementsOther duties as assigned by supervisorsBring your VIBESkills/AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills; extremely detail-orientedProfessional demeanor and sound judgmentFollows up on delegated assignments through completionSelf-starter, who takes initiative and is resourceful; takes ownership of tasks and projectsAbility to multi-task and prioritize; works well under pressureAbility to work autonomously and collaborativelyExcellent typing and computer skills, including in Word, Excel, OutlookExperience:Advanced computer experience: Microsoft Word (including tables and redlining), ExcelPrior experience as a paralegal, with preparation of claims, or contract analysis is a plusEducation:BA or BS degree from an accredited college or universityPerks PlaylistJoin an entrepreneurial, global organization where authenticity, boldness, creativity, connection, drive, and insight aren't just values—they're how we work every day.
