Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday (9:00 am – 1:00 pm)

Brief Description of Work:

The Administrative Assistant provides front-line customer service for the rental of picnic shelters and spraygrounds across the City of Greensboro, and supports office administration for Park Operations. Working closely with the Procurement and Support Specialist, this position manages reservations, processes financial transactions, and supports the division’s use of the EAM system. This role also provides general administrative support to division staff, including covering key duties in the absence of the Procurement and Support Specialist.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Take and process reservations for picnic shelters and spraygrounds via walk-in, phone, and email
  • Provide office administration support for Park Operations
  • Assist with data entry and administrative support related to the EAM system
  • Handle financial transactions, including collecting payments and balancing a cash drawer daily
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Provide administrative support to other staff as needed
  • Serve as backup support for procurement and administrative functions in the absence of the Procurement and Support Specialist
  • Maintain accurate records of reservations and payments
  • Respond to customer inquiries with professionalism and a strong customer service experience

The Job is NON-EXEMPT under FLSA.
