Administrative Assistant

This is an entry-level position for any candidate who is looking for professional experience in an office setting.

MLG is seeking individuals who are looking to enter a new and engaging field while learning valuable skills. From our offices in San Marcos, you’ll be working with a professional team of specialists on behalf of mortgage firms all across America – helping loan officers and brokers maintain their licenses and get qualified for new ones in new states.

Since this is a niche industry, no prior experience is necessary as we place an emphasis in on-the-job training.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with Mortgage Brokers, Lenders and originators to complete state license applications and renewals.
• Working with state licensing agencies and regulators to resolve deficiencies for existing licenses.
• Verifying license types required via NMLS/State mortgage websites.
• Establishing and/or maintaining client company Secretary of State standing.
• Communicating Status of Account with internal partners.
• Updating information on internal databases.
• Communicate and co-ordinate with Document Filing services, bonding agents, and education providers to obtain necessary services for clients.
• Communicate internally with administrative and accounting staff.
• Work on any special projects as requested.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or two years of experience is required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills is required
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills are required
• Strong MS Office (Word and Outlook) Adobe Acrobat skills are required
• Reliable Transportation is required
• Customer service experience is preferred but not required
• Legal or compliance experience in any industry is preferred but not required
