Job Title: Administrative Assistant – Construction Employment Type: Contract, potential contract to hire Location: Sparks, NV (On-site) Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Pay Rate: $25.00–$ 26.00/hour

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client expanding operations in the Reno/Sparks area to support a new data center construction project. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant with construction industry experience to provide on-site administrative and payroll support during the project start-up phase.

This role will be fully on-site and plays a key part in supporting the project leadership team, including project managers and field leadership, in a fast-paced construction environment.

Position Overview

The Administrative Assistant will support daily administrative operations on a construction job site, with a strong focus on payroll administration, timecard processing, and employee onboarding. This position requires prior experience working in a construction or job-site setting, comfort supporting multiple leaders, and the ability to quickly ramp up in a highly active environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced with construction workflows, payroll timelines, and job-site communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site administrative support to project leadership and field teams
  • Collect, review, and submit weekly employee timecards accurately and on schedule
  • Process payroll-related information using Vista Viewpoint
  • Assist with onboarding new employees and guiding them through new-hire documentation
  • Maintain organized employee and administrative records
  • Serve as a point of contact for administrative and timekeeping questions on-site
  • Utilize Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and communication
  • Support general job-site administrative needs as required
Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience
  • Prior experience in the construction industry, preferably on a job site
  • Experience processing timecards and payroll information
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred:

  • Experience with Vista Viewpoint
  • Experience supporting project managers or construction leadership
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
