Administrative Assistant-Student Services (Educational Service Center)

12 month position - 8 hours/day/40 hours per week 7:30am-4:00pm

$19.83-$21.02 per hour

Position Summary: Assist the Director of Student Services by providing administrative support while meeting all legal requirements in regards to special education law and services.

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Previous K-12 school based experience with special education laws and regulations is preferred.

  • First Aid/CPR training is preferred.

  • Must have a high level of computer skills.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage ADAPT 504 Software, student transfer ins/out, evaluations, and assignments. Monitor timelines, review and process 504 submissions.

  • Manage Seclusion and Restraint submission forms, ensure proper procedures are followed and complete end of year state report.

  • Coordinate Transportation for students with IEPs and homeless status.

  • Update Kompas Care and work with staff to ensure documentation is complete

  • Homeless Liaison point of contact

  • Process IEP paperwork and maintain student files.

  • Assist with records requests.

  • Assist with billing/invoices for shared costs with outside agencies.

  • Assist in the facilitation of district's tutored students including homebound.

  • Maintain inventory and manage distribution of iPads, safety equipment, etc.

  • Track various training cycles.

  • Attend required meetings and participate actively in any work group, training or committee assignments.

  • Maintain knowledge of administrative procedures and timelines and be able to communicate these to other staff and families. Plan ahead recognizing the cycle of work/ projects that repeat from year to year.

  • Maintain knowledge of software and equipment used to perform duties, such as: student information systems, word processing, database, spreadsheets, E-mail, and office equipment.

  • Know, understand and follow applicable safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to: proper lifting techniques, awareness of eye strain, use of proper wrist support when keyboarding for extended periods of time and office ergonomics.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services.
