Administrative Assistant - Tidewater Region

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support operations under a Federal Protective Service (FPS) contract. This role requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work within a secure federal environment while supporting mission-critical administrative functions. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and experienced in handling sensitive information in compliance with federal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating appointments
  • Prepare and edit documents, reports, and presentations
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)
  • Assist with data entry, recordkeeping, and database management
  • Coordinate office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships
  • Support team members with various administrative tasks and projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of older
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar tools
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
