This position generally works the beginning of August through the second week of June each year. In addition, this position works 5 float days during the year. The start date for the 2026-2027 school year is August 6, 2026.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Administrative Assistant

  • Receives and routes incoming phone calls, US mail, e-mails, or in person messages with a variety of people including staff, students, parents, vendors, outside agencies, etc.
  • Greets visitors in a pleasant and professional manner, ascertains nature of business and directs visitors to appropriate personnel and locations.
  • Routes outgoing newsletters, e-mails, handbooks, bulletins, etc.
  • Utilizes Facebook, Twitter, D.C. Everest website, and monthly reports while using individual judgment and following District policies and procedures.
  • Monitors both the substitute tracking program and employee personnel system to call substitutes and notify the Principal and Payroll if absences are not entered correctly.
  • Registers new students, requests records, tracks incoming/outgoing students and student information, etc.
  • Inputs student records into management system (Infinite Campus and other programs).
  • Sends out student information as requested by other districts.
  • Edits and prints documents for filing as well as maintains electronic filing systems.
  • Processes confidential items including timesheets, medication forms, releases, court documents, staff evaluations, injury reports, etc.
  • Prepares and updates calendars, parent handbooks, phone lists, maps, etc.
  • Assists in the preparation and utilization of the budgeting of funds and Student Based Activity Accounts (SBAA).
  • Monitors the budget including purchasing, receiving, and using check requests to pay invoices.
  • Receives payments, issues receipts, and bookkeeps and maintains accounts.
  • Sells hot lunch tickets, takes count, and maintains up-to-date hot lunch accounts by preparing reports and generating balance letters.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Health Assistant

  • Provide support and appropriate care to ill and injured students and/or staff.
  • Administer daily and as needed medication to students in accordance with District Policy and Procedure Statements.
  • Triage symptoms of illness and/or injury including evaluating, monitoring, and referring physically ill and emotionally at-risk students to School Nurse or other appropriate resource.
  • Provide daily care according to students' needs including diabetic care, personal hygiene needs, urinary catheterization, colostomy care, tube feeding care, etc.
  • Maintain Health Room supplies, inventory, and cleanliness.
  • Collect and maintain student immunization data.
  • Provide basic emergency care for illness and/or injury and function as a member of the Building Emergency Response Team.
  • File and chart daily health room visits, medication administration, health conditions, medications for students, etc.
  • Keep accurate attendance records including documenting messages and communications with parents or other responsible for students' care.
  • Collect, refill, and distribute Blood Borne Pathogen kits to staff, distributes and restocks fanny packs to Recess Associates, and distribute and restock First Aid Kits.
  • Maintain confidentiality within the Guidelines of Wisconsin/HIPPA Law.
  • Complete basic clerical and computer work as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
