The Administrative Assistant to MTCPC Programs provides advanced and diversified administrative support services for the assigned Program Director(s), and Executive Director of the Institute for Character and Leadership (ICL) program faculty, and students relating to programs, both graduate and non-academic, in the College of Psychology and Counseling. Primarily this role will administratively support the work in the Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology and General Theoretical Masters Program. This position also coordinates the entire administrative admissions process for the assigned programs.

Required Qualifications:

  1. High School degree required. College degree preferred. Completion of commercial courses related to general office and administrative skills preferred.

  2. Minimum of three years of professional administrative experience required preferably in a complex office environment or higher education, such as office oversight responsibilities and experience with financial record keeping. Prior academic/administrative/admissions experience a plus.

  3. Computer proficiency required for word processing, spreadsheets, and data management required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) preferred. Experience with Ellucian, PSYCAS or accreditation record-keeping, a plus. Experience with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom). Experience with website content management systems, and professional social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) preferred.

  4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  5. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively and responsively with a diverse student, faculty, and staff population with sensitivity to student needs.

  6. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check.
