ROLE AND PURPOSE: Serve as an Administrative Assistant to the Chief Human Resources Officer and Human Resources Directors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Some college hours preferred
Experience:
- Five (5) years general clerical/administrative assistant experience or three (3) years educational administrative assistant experience
- Bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in general office skills; experience in data entry and word processing
- Capacity and skills to manage budget data
- Strong interpersonal skills, including conflict management
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Serve as administrative assistant to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
- Act as a liaison between the Chief Human Resources Officer's office and each functional area of the HR Department.
- Effectively represent the HR department to campus and departmental employees through positive customer service in personal interactions, emails, and phone calls.
- Provide content knowledge and expertise to the department in all relevant software programs and systems.
- Contribute with work-related thoughts and opinions in general HR Staff meetings.
- Consistently seek and recommend HR department opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare polished memos and detailed Excel spreadsheets with HR-related content at the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer.
- Integrate metrics/reports for monthly and/or quarterly PowerPoint reviews.
- Support department with team-building activities.
- Prepare and submit board meeting documents for Human Resources, as required.
- Support HR budget maintenance and analysis.
- Prepare and submit purchase orders, check requests, and travel authorization/reimbursements, as needed.
