Assists an administrative official of a department or autonomous government agency at a level no lower than department head, by doing administrative clerical and related work, usually varied and involving some elements of trouble shooting; or, under the immediate direction of an administrative official at a level no lower than department head, supervises the office and other clerical and related operations of a department or autonomous agency; does related work as required

Some of the duties specific to our district are as follows; however, the position is not limited to these duties.

  • Prepare Board Agendas & Minutes using Board Docs for SBA.
  • Process all new hires and enter into Systems Personnel, Camps Civil Service Program, Personnel Spreadsheets and NJSMART.
  • Maintain Systems 3000 personnel system and do rollover at end of year. Ensure all salaries are all up to date. Put in salary guides for future years according to MTEA Contract, so BA can make budget projections using future data.
  • Prepare all salaries and contracts for year coming and issue contracts in May prior to new school year.
  • Maintain contract book for all positions in district and ensure there are signed contracts for everyone.
  • Post all personnel vacancies and Schedule B positions. Run advertisements, as needed.
  • Maintain NJSLEDS Staff SMIDS, uploads and reports.
  • Oversee Course Reimbursement of Certificated Staff and Support Staff.
  • Manage CAMPS Civil Service System.
  • Prepare EEOC Reports when required.
  • Prepare Ethics Disclosure Candidates List each year for BA.
  • Process all resignations, retirement and separations.
  • Prepare Civil Service paperwork for any disciplines or terminations for BA.
