The offered salary for this position is $25 - $35 USD per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior staff, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Act as a primary point of contact, handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain and organise student and staff records with the utmost confidentiality and accuracy.
- Prepare and edit documents, reports, presentations, and internal communications.
- Assist in the organisation and coordination of school events, meetings, and conferences.
- Manage office supplies, place orders, and ensure the office is well-equipped.
- Perform general clerical duties such as data entry, filing, photocopying, and mailing.
- Liaise with parents, students, and other stakeholders, providing information and assistance as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative or office support role. Experience within an educational or public sector setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; further qualifications in office administration are an advantage.
