Administrative Assistant (Temporary Assignment)
Location: Near Valatie, NY area
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00 per Hour
Assignment Length: One-Week Temporary Coverage (July 6 – July 10)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Our well established consulting client in Columbia County is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a short-term assignment supporting daily office operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable administrative professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment and providing exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple administrative tasks while serving as a professional first point of contact for clients, vendors, and visitors.

Immediate availability is required. Interviews and hiring will take place quickly due to the urgent nature of this assignment.

Position Overview
The Administrative Assistant will provide front-office and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include handling incoming calls, assisting with scheduling, maintaining records, supporting office communications, and providing general administrative assistance to the team.

This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor.

Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Customer Service
  • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming calls and visitors
  • Answer and route incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently
  • Take detailed messages and ensure timely delivery to appropriate staff members
  • Respond to general inquiries from clients, customers, vendors, and visitors
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive professional image
Administrative Support
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
  • Prepare, edit, and organize business documents, correspondence, and reports
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic and paper records
  • File, organize, and retrieve documents as needed
  • Support administrative projects and office initiatives
Office Operations
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Assist with general office communications and coordination
  • Maintain organized office files and records
  • Support day-to-day office functions and special administrative assignments
  • Ensure confidentiality when handling sensitive company information
Team Support
  • Provide administrative assistance to various departments as needed
  • Help coordinate internal communications and workflow
  • Assist staff with clerical and organizational tasks
  • Contribute to a professional, efficient, and collaborative office environment
