It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation as well as the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes state prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community.     This position #60070914 is located Johnston Correctional Institution. Position serves as an Administrative

    Associate II. Position provides Secretarial/clerical support to the Maintenance Supervisor and other

    administrative duties as assigned. This position work orders using a computer and systematic filing system.

    Position has contact with staff, inmate population, and the general public. Must be able to use a variety of office

    machines to include copiers, fax, and scanner. Maintains a variety of records and documents. Handles

    confidential and sensitive information for inclusion in correspondence and personnel related issues. Must be

    able to plan work accordingly, understand directives, and carry out both oral and written instructions.

    Salary Grade: $31,200-$51,249
