Job Focus Area

The Program Integrity and Compliance Unit establishes and maintains a comprehensive, standardized framework to prevent, detect, investigate, and resolve fraud, waste, abuse, and non-compliance across all state and federally funded programs, ensuring resources are managed responsibly, benefits are provided only to eligible recipients, and program objectives are achieved with integrity, accountability, and regulatory compliance.

We're looking for an Administrative Coordinator 2 to serve as the first point of contact at the agency, creating a welcoming environment for callers and providing administrative support that keeps our unit running smoothly.

The Administrative Coordinator 2 assists with the management of numerous administrative programs and functions for the unit, which include, but are not limited to: referral complaints, attendance records, record retention, printing, and compliance. The person in this position works closely with the Program Integrity and Compliance Consultant and manages the numerous reports required by state law, state programs, keeping the unit in compliance with all requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

One year of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

In this role As an Administrative Coordinator 2, you will.:

  • Enter, update, and maintain referral claims, and assessment data within departmental systems, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of program records.
  • Manage complaints and inquiries by documenting information, coordinating responses, and communicating with program staff and stakeholders as needed.
  • Process mail returned by the United Postal Service. This includes documenting the type of mail and reason for the return in the system.
  • Make phone calls to providers and claimants to update or request information in the system or database.
  • Sort documents appropriately according to their designated locations.
  • Support and participate in various assigned projects, initiatives, and operational tasks as needed.
  • Assist with technical assistance and other functions as assigned.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment. The person hired for this position is expected to regularly report to the Baton Rouge office. Current permanent classified state employees may be required to accept a probationary appointment, if selected.

Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.

Work Schedule: Work hours are Monday - Friday. Work hours will be determined.

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
