This position is the primary administrative support to leadership of the Speech-Language Pathology (SPLP) program. The administrative coordinator assists the program director in accreditation maintenance processes, performs recurring duties independently, and is given specific instructions for non-routine assignments as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Screens phone calls, visitors, and correspondence directing them to the appropriate persons
Acts as an ambassador by demonstrating good public relations within the University and in the private community
Assists faculty and students in determining which requests should be handled by the PD or by other staff members
Assists with scheduling of appointments at the request of the Program Director or Clinic Director.
Handles correspondence independently and within the specified time frame
Assists students with orientation, educational, and program concerns
Assist students in distance education through problem resolution by answering phone calls and/or emails by directing them to appropriate department(s) or person(s).
Calls, emails, or mails program information to interested students and students with questions.
Maintains all correspondence for all professional students accepted into the program until the date of their graduation
Other duties as assigned.

Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment
Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
Work Schedule:Work hours are 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Thursday. Fridays 7:30-11:30 am.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
