The Jefferson Parish Extension Office is hiring an Administrative Coordinator 4.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:

Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

As an Administrative Coordinator 4, your job duties will be:

  • Administrative Duties & Support for Parish Chair: Prepares and maintains records, correspondence, reports, and other documents of a confidential and/or sensitive nature. Maintain travel budgets, office operating budget, and other financial records. Oversees receipt of money for various events that require payments. May receive, sort, and address routine matters associated with Parish Chair mail. Assists with a variety of parish administrative duties including personnel hiring and other personnel transactions, federal reporting, local government reporting, grants, and records on office equipment and supplies, etc. Works closely with regional staff to reconcile parish expenditures. (25%)
  • General Office Support: Types and prepares correspondence, newsletters, etc. for parish programs. Screen calls and visitors. Sorts and distributes mail. Make travel reservations. Maintain office inventory. Maintains databases and mailing lists. (25%)
  • Southeast Regional Duties: Regional asset custodian for the Southwest Region. Designated secretary for the Regional Agribusiness Council. Enters requisitions for the regional office into Workday. Release of approved purchase orders within the system for the regional office. Assists with workshops and demonstrations by compiling and sending promotional packets and letters to schools, judges and participants. Prepares folders/packets for programs. Assist with events by working registration tables, setting up displays, etc. (50%)

Position-Specific Details:

  • Appointment Type: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
  • Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
  • Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
  • Location: Jefferson Parish Extension Office, Jefferson, La.
  • This position is not eligible for remote employment.
