QUALIFICATIONS

We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:

  • Highly detail-oriented and organized

    - Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

    - An excellent written and verbal communicator
    - Friendly, professional, and compassionate with clients
    - Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
    - Comfortable learning new technology and systems

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous administrative or office management experience
- Experience working in a healthcare, counseling, or medical office is a plus
- Experience with insurance billing or benefits verification is preferred, but not required—we’re happy to train the right person
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and electronic health record systems is a bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

- Manage insurance claims, including tracking, submitting, and resolving claim issues
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Assist clients with understanding and using their insurance benefits
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims and billing questions
- Support therapists with administrative needs related to scheduling, documentation, and client care
- Help maintain accurate client records and practice systems
- Respond to client inquiries with professionalism, warmth, and compassion
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative workflows and office efficiency
- Complete additional administrative projects as needed

Administrative Coordinator (Part-Time)

6–10 Hours Per Week | Primarily Remote

ATX Counseling is a relationship-centered private practice in Austin dedicated to providing thoughtful, high-quality mental health care. We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator who enjoys creating order, solving problems, and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes.

This position is primarily remote with a flexible schedule, making it an excellent fit for someone who is proactive, enjoys administrative work, and takes pride in supporting both clients and clinicians.

 

Hours & Location

6–10 hours per week
Flexible schedule
This position is primarily remote, with occasional in-office responsibilities including:Picking up and sorting mail
Restocking office supplies
Completing administrative tasks that require an office presence
Applicants should live in the Austin area and have reliable transportation to the office when needed.

Compensation

$25–$32 per hour, depending on experience
Flexible schedule (6–10 hours per week)
Primarily remote with occasional in-office responsibilities
