Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Administrative Coordinator, you will be integral to the smooth operation of our Perioperative department, ensuring data continuity for surgical services, managing charge verifications, and overseeing supply reconciliation for the Operating Room.

Every day, you will manage multi-line phone systems, facilitate the daily surgery schedule, and directly support providers, while collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate data entry and patient billing. This role requires prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment, clear communication of critical information, and acting as a central communication point.

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.

  • Works collaboratively to expedite data entry of implants and specialty supplies.
  • Ensures all case charges are posted within 3 day window.
  • Answers pages for staff as needed. Takes messages and ensures delivery of messages.
  • Covers the main Operating Room phone line.
  • Supports the OR Charge Nurse.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year front or back office secretarial experience or equivalent
  • AHA BLS within 30 days

Preferred

  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • Certified Nursing Assistant
