Come build your career with us!Job Summary and QualificationsManage the operations of the critical care services reporting to Del Sol Medical Center. Ensure the integration of all elements into a product line that supports the entire system as efficiently and effectively as possible. You will direct the Critical Care services to ensure that they are operating efficiently and effectively, providing the services required to meet the needs of the system and medical staff. You will integrate the various operations into a system, which provides an appropriate continuum of care, both clinically and geographically. You will provide direct oversight of the Critical Care Services at Del Sol Medical Center in the capacity of Administrative Director. You will be responsible for the implementation of leapfrog, core measure & other quality initiatives related to patient safety. You will be responsible for ensuring staff training and education is adequate within units of responsibility and identified staff competencies are assessed and monitored as appropriate. You will conduct strategic planning and policy setting activities for areas of responsibility and within the system. You will actively engage in physician relation activities to ensure support of Del Sol and to ascertain and address needs and opportunities.You will demonstrate Customer Service principles and behaviors consistent with Del Sol Medical Center's vision and values.You will oversee marketing and product development for all aspects of areas of responsibility. You will ensure the delivery and perception of quality care. You will ensure appropriate financial accountability systems are in place and that managers are operating within guidelines. You will oversee nursing projects hospital wide. What qualifications you will need:Nursing degree required (can be associate degree, diploma degree, or bachelor's degree). Master's degree in Nursing, Business, or Health Administration preferred. Experience may be substituted. Master's degree: must begin Master's degree program within 6-12 months of starting the position required. RN license in the state of Texas or compact state required. BLS required. ACLS required. Obtainment of specialty certification within one year required. Management experience in critical care clinical setting required.
