Summary:
The Administrative Director of Respiratory Care provides oversight and leadership for respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostic services at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Plans, develops, implements and directs daily operation of the respiratory team responsible for providing in-patient and out-patient respiratory services. Ensures that the department and hospital mission, goals and strategic initiatives are achieved. Provides leadership across hospital departments working with the medical director and other clinical and administrative leaders from multiple departments to assure the delivery of high quality services. Represents the Respiratory Care department as a leader in the Clinical Operations division and is an active participant in hospital committees. Provides oversight for department Quality assurance and Performance Improvement activities and assures regulatory compliance. Leads, mentors and develops respiratory care leaders and staff. Effectively communicates across a large and complex environment.
