Job Title: Administrative/Executive Assistant I (Development Assistant – TNets)
Location: Burbank, CA 91505
Pay rate: $25.00 - $29.00/hr
Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (In-office full-time; 1-hour lunch; flexibility dependent on needs)
Overview This position provides high-level administrative and operational support to the Senior Vice President of Scripted Original Programming while also supporting the Unscripted Original Programming team. The role handles executive administrative duties, script coverage, project tracking, meeting coordination, and cross-departmental liaison functions across Warner Bros. Discovery (TBS, TNT, TruTV). Additionally, the assistant supports creative development, prepares presentation decks and talent grids, and tracks programming content (including watching and summarizing professional wrestling content).
Job Specifications- Manage complex executive calendars, travel arrangements, call logs, and expense reports using Concur
- Maintain and update internal tracking documents, including EOW Submissions, Weekly Tracking Reports, Reading/Watching Lists, and Call Logs
- Complete coverage of incoming script materials, write loglines, and draft meeting notes from pitches and development sessions
- Act as a departmental liaison to communicate material delivery dates, input development deals, and handle payment requests
- Watch 5–10 hours of professional wrestling weekly, tracking storylines and preparing event summaries
- Prepare meeting agendas, pitch materials, talent grids, flow charts, show concept decks, and one-sheets using PowerPoint
- Draft development reports for senior management and update development, production, and financial grids
- Draft deal memos for new projects and enter data into WBD portal systems (DEAL, HIVE, PNF)
- Coordinate with internal business units (Legal, Post-Production, Finance, PR, Standards & Practices) to meet program needs
- Perform physical in-office coordination, report maintenance, and assist with general team administrative workflow
- 2+ years of executive/desk assistant experience within the entertainment industry (preferably in programming/development) required
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint and Outlook required; Concur knowledge is a plus)
- Strong understanding of television development, production companies, writers, and producers
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and cross-functional communication skills with strict adherence to confidentiality (NDA required)
- No specific degree requirement (focus is placed on years of experience)
