Administrative HR Coordinator

General Summary

The HR Coordinator manages a variety of human resources functions including front desk duties, new employee follow-up, and project assistance. This role is essential in fostering a positive experience for employees, applicants, and visitors alike.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for employees, applicants, and visitors, delivering professional and timely assistance.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate HR team members.
  • Follow up with new hires regarding orientation schedules and required documentation.
  • Support recruiters by maintaining effective communication with applicants.
  • Assist with onboarding tasks such as badge issuance, documentation collection, and IT coordination.
  • Ensure completion of background checks and other screenings before orientation.
  • Process personnel updates, employment verifications, and maintain department supplies.
  • Manage department invoices and one-time payment requests as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support HR operations.
Education

A High School Diploma is required. An Associate Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.

Experience

At least two years of administrative experience in Human Resources or a related area, demonstrating a solid understanding of HR practices.

Certification/License

Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Mental/Physical Requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to concentrate and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The role requires handling stressful situations calmly and the physical ability to move throughout the facility and lift up to 10 pounds.
