UTHealth Houston Strategy & Business Development is hiring an Administrative Intern to join their team in a full-time capacity for 12 weeks. The intern will work Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm in the Texas Medical Center (7000 Fannin).Within the Department of Strategy & Business Development, the Administrative Intern will gain hands-on experience in health system administration, strategic planning, process improvement, and project management in support of broader program initiatives within an academic medical environment. The intern will collaborate with administrative leaders to support the development and execution of project plans, gaining real-world exposure to how strategy and operations intersect to drive initiatives across a complex healthcare system. To be successful in this position, the intern should have the following:Skills - Business intelligence and data analytics; Data visualization and reporting; Business process analysis and workflow improvement; Familiarity with, or interest in, applying AI tools to business operationsBackground Candidates with a business, healthcare administration, or related professional background are strongly preferredExperience with or exposure to, process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement frameworks)Prior project management experience or exposure - this can include formal PM roles, informal project coordination, or academic/team-based project leadershipWhat we do here changes the world.
