The Inventory Aide is responsible for counting, picking, restocking, and distributing low-unit-of-measure (LUM) medical supplies to nursing supply and PAR areas. Duties may also include distributing equipment and furniture to various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Replenish PAR inventory levels and prepare chargeable supplies.
Identify and restock instruments, trays, and medical supplies.
Deliver medical/surgical supplies based on priority.
Process verbal, phone, EPIC, and handheld terminal requests.
Maintain clean and organized inventory areas.
Prepare mobile medical equipment for use.
Inspect supplies for damaged packaging and expired items.
Check in stock and non-stock items and report discrepancies.
Perform cycle counts as needed.
Verify expiration dates and rotate products to prevent outdating.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Inventory control experience in a healthcare setting.
Medical terminology experience.
Basic computer skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
