SDS is seeking a mission-focused and experiencedIT Administrative Manager IIto lead administrative, personnel, and operational support for a DoD IT program. This role includes serving as aTrusted Agent (TA)for the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), supporting the issuance and management of CAC credentials, identity verification, and personnel accountability in accordance with DoD directives. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership skills with experience in government IT operations, personnel oversight, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the administrative operations of a large-scale IT program in a DoD environment.
  • Oversee personnel onboarding, access control, task tracking, and operational support activities.
  • Serve as a Trusted Agent (TA) responsible for verifying identity, sponsoring personnel for CAC issuance, and maintaining compliance with DMDC policies.
  • Coordinate with DoD stakeholders to ensure contractual deliverables are met.
  • Supervise and evaluate IT administrative and technical staff.
  • Maintain personnel records, performance metrics, and training compliance logs.
  • Lead security and access management functions, ensuring timely processing of background checks and clearance documentation.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, task trackers, and workflow documentation.
  • Support audits, program reviews, and compliance inspections.
  • Facilitate communication between contract teams and government representatives.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship and Active Secret clearance (TS preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field (Preferred).
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • 3+ years of professional experience, with at least 1 year in IT 
  • Previous experience as a Trusted Agent (TA) or familiarity with the TA role and CAC issuance process under DoD/DMDC guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of DoD security practices, personnel systems, and onboarding protocols.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and enterprise workflow platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive personnel data and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

 
  • PMP, ITIL, or HR/cybersecurity certifications.
  • Experience using ServiceNow, DEERS/RAPIDS, or eQIP systems.
  • Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoD STIGs.
  • Prior experience supporting a SCIF or classified environment.
