Job Summary
The Administrative Officer 2 (AO2) plays a critical role in providing administrative, programmatic, and fiscal support for the daily operations of Home Care Services (HCS), including support for hospice volunteer and bereavement programs. The AO2 is an experienced professional who provides general administrative and staff support across a variety of essential Home Care Services activities. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, purchasing office and medical supplies, managing and stocking supply areas, processing medication orders for delivery, tracking expenditures, performing monthly mileage audits, coordinating events, supporting technology needs, and providing customer service and technical support. Additional responsibilities can include expense reporting, scheduling support, office organization/upkeep, human resources support, graphic design, document management, and written and verbal communications. The AO2 also serves as the primary backup to the Administrative Officer 3 (AO3).
The AO2 is a reliable, organized, proactive, and analytical individual who works effectively both independently and collaboratively. This position serves as a key administrative contact for supervisors, clinicians, staff, volunteers, and others within the health system. The incumbent utilizes sound judgment to prioritize tasks, respond to operational needs, and communicate effectively and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
The incumbent evaluates situations, adjusts priorities, and responds flexibly to requests requiring problem solving and support. This position requires knowledge of and the ability to apply policies and procedures related to travel, reimbursements, purchasing, and other administrative functions. The AO2 exercises discretion and diplomacy in handling sensitive and confidential information.
This is an in-office position, five days a week.

Department Specific Job Scope
HCS is made up of three primary programs: Hospice (inpatient and home care), Home Health, and Home-Based Palliative Care. Our administrative team, Clinical Operations, supports all three programs and this position would be a part of that team. HCS is a mid-sized, diverse office made up of approximately 95 clinical and non-clinical staff, working in the office, hospital, and in the field.
