The incumbent of this position serves as a key advisor and special assistant to the Deputy Warden at Elayn Hunt Correctional Center. In this role, the incumbent supports the Warden by coordinating with and evaluating the operations of multiple major departments to ensure alignment with institutional goals and the broader objectives of state government. The position requires daily execution of highly complex and confidential administrative assignments. To be effective, the incumbent must maintain comprehensive knowledge of Department of Corrections regulations and institutional policies that govern the overall function and operation of the facility.

An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:
Minimum Qualifications
Five years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR
A bachelors degree plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR
An advanced degree plus one year of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
