Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Student Learning Program Operations and Support, the Faculty Support Liaison is the main point person for all aspects of faculty support including new faculty onboarding processes, office assignments, tracking faculty observations and professional development, and syllabi and office hours tracking. This position processes quarterly associate faculty contracts and full-time faculty moonlight contracts in accordance with established timelines, and processes faculty additional duties and quarterly internships compensation. Job duties are specific to supporting the Student Learning Deans and Directors, and with the faculty who report to them. The Faculty Support Liaison provides administrative support to faculty-led committees, maintains internal faculty resources, and ensures accurate record keeping, and includes coordination with external departments like Information Technology Services, Human Resources, Finance, and Marketing and Communications.

As the Administrative Services Manager A - Faculty Support Liaison, it is expected that the following qualities will be demonstrated daily: a high degree of understanding and empathy for all students, faculty, staff and visitors, as well as the ability to encourage the inclusion of all voices in decision-making, promoting equity in all areas, and actively working against institutionalized norms of oppression against historically marginalized people.

Initial Salary: $4,633 - $5,240 Monthly DOE + 5% King County Premium Pay (KCPP)

Supervising Position: Assistant Director of Student Learning Program Operations and Support

Essential Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate onboarding process and all necessary resources for new and returning faculty and staff including office space, email accounts, badge access, and access to various faculty resources such as Canvas and SharePoint
  • Process and track all faculty workload & class assignments including quarterly full-time faculty moonlight contracts and associate faculty contracts in ctcLink according to established timelines
  • Track and process faculty additional duties and stipend payments
  • Coordinate with HR compliance officer to stay up-to date on updates to the faculty Contract Bargained Agreement (CBA) and ensure Student Learning processes are aligned with contract requirements
  • Submit, track, and report forms and contracts for quarterly internships, service learning, and student independent studies
  • Maintain and track faculty observation and promotion status documentation for Probationary, Associate, and Priority Hire faculty
  • Collect, process, and track faculty course syllabi and office hours each quarter, and assure this information is correct and accessible to others
  • Budget tracking and record keeping for program-specific grants and various Student Learning committees such as the Teaching Learning Academy (TLA)
  • Track faculty professional development budgets, track status, usage, and available funds
  • Submit faculty-related expense reports and travel authorizations
  • Schedule meetings, record, and disseminate notes for Student Learning faculty-focused committees including Division Chairs, the Teaching and Learning Academy (TLA), and Faculty Assembly Facilitators
  • Assist in the coordination and facilitation of the TLA new faculty orientation, providing information and documentation to help faculty succeed at Cascadia
  • Maintain and update faculty resources including TLA and Faculty Council materials on internal sites such as Go.Cascadia and SharePoint

Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Attend and participate in meetings or committees to represent Student Learning needs as assigned.
  • Act as a resource to faculty on Cascadia College processes and procedures
  • Participate on faculty or staff hiring committees as needed
  • Assist in planning and executing of special events or meetings and participation and assistance with campus-wide events as directed
  • Perform related duties as required
  • Performs other related duties of a similar nature or level as assigned.

Education & Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor¿s Degree. Additional administrative or supervisory experience may substitute for educational requirements.
  • One year of related full-time administrative and/or supervisory experience or equivalent education/experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and interest in diversity, equity and inclusion and the ability to support a multicultural workplace and educational environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent clerical skills to include filing, record keeping, database work, data entry, creating/formatting documents and correspondence, proof-reading and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to pluralism and the ability to support a diverse workplace and educational environment

Knowledge of:

  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite programs specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher.
  • Proficiency with all basic office equipment.
  • Familiarity with student management software such as SMS or ctcLink (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.)
  • Working knowledge of Cascadia¿s mission, vision, values and strategic directions.
  • Excellent knowledge of campus resources and Cascadia¿s organizational chart/structure.
  • Knowledge/Experience with clerical skills. Examples include filing, record keeping, database work, data entry, creating/formatting documents and correspondence, proof-reading and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient use of spreadsheet and database software.
  • An understanding of FERPA rules and regulations, and willingness to abide by these regulations.

Terms of Employment

This is a full-time, twelve-month Classified position. This position works 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; may include occasional evening responsibilities. Initial base salary placement is $4,633.00 - $5,240.00 per month, with yearly step increases to the maximum salary of $6,229.00 (Step M) per month (not including the 5% King County Premium Pay). This is a represented position.

Cascadia College employees receive a 5% King County Premium Pay in addition to base salary for the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year.

This position has been designated as a bargaining unit position by the Washington Public Employees Association. Following a successful probationary/trial service period, employees attain permanent status.

Cascadia College offers a comprehensive benefit package including tuition fee waiver.

Physical Work Environment

Semi-Sedentary Work: Involves staying in a stationary position to a significant degree. Jobs are sedentary if moving is required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The College is currently in hybrid operations, with many assignments completed in an online environment during this time. Full-time employees are expected to be on-campus at least three (3) days per week with the option to work remotely for the remainder of their working days. This position will perform work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment and physically attend meetings both on and off campus and requires the ability to communicate in person or through appropriate means.

Positions in this class typically require operating a computer, communicating, observing, and repetitive motions.

This position involves exerting between 10-30 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to transport, put, install, remove, or otherwise move objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
