If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for serving as a United States Attorneys Office representative in the Northern District of Texas. You will perform a variety of duties that support the Districts administrative and support services in the headquarters office in the areas of property, budget, mail, supply and facilities management.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Administrative Services Specialist, at GS-0301-9/11, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.
Must be able to attain and retain at least a level 1 (one) Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) as a federal contracting professional. FAC-C has specific training requirements with some courses online as well as classroom courses. The person selected is expected to obtain a FAC-C within one year of the date of hire. To maintain a FAC-C, contract professionals are required to meet the continuous training requirement.
GS-9: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as: Assist entering or tracking budgetary data; preparing a variety of reports concerning the status of funds, expenses or obligations; and overseeing property inventory.
Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g. Business, Finance): Masters or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL. B or J.D., if related.
Combining Education and Experience: Combination of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. To qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 1 full year.
GS-11: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as: experience entering and tracking budgetary data; preparing a variety of reports concerning the status of funds, expenses or obligations; overseeing property inventory; planning and procuring office equipment, supplies, and/or furniture and projecting/analyzing space needs based on proposed initiatives, staff changes, and technology improvements.
Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g. Business, Finance): Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M, if related.
Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high schooleducation and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table and may be computed by first determining the applicants total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicants education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level.
Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11. (When crediting education that requires specific course work, prorate the number of hours of related courses required as a proportion of the total education to be used.)
Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your agency has notified you in writing that you are a displaced employee eligible for ICTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your ICTAP eligibility; 2) you apply under the instructions in the announcement; and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy. To be well-qualified, you must satisfy all qualification requirements for the vacant position and receive a score of 85 or better on established ranking criteria. You must provide proof of eligibility to receive selection priority. Such proof may include a copy of your written notification of ICTAP eligibility or a copy of your separation personnel action form. Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)-The CTAP provides eligible surplus and displaced competitive service employees in the Department of Justice with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your Department of Justice component has notified you in writing that you are a surplus or displaced employee eligible for CTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your CTAP eligibility, 2) you apply under the instructions in this announcement, and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy. CTAP/ICTAP Documentation Requirements- a copy of a separation notice or other proof of eligibilityfor priority selection; a copy of an SF-50, Notification of Personnel Action, showing current position, grade, promotion potential, and duty location; AND a copy of your most recent performance appraisal.
