Administrative Specialist I

Counseling Center

This position supports the daily operations of the Counseling Center front office. The role coordinates

client scheduling, manages Same Day Consultations (SDCs), and ensures efficient access to

counseling, psychiatry, and client advocacy services. This position serves as a key point of contact for

students and plays an essential role in maintaining smooth and professional front office operations.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Coordinate front office operations and manage scheduling for Same Day Consultations (SDCs),

initial appointments, and follow-up services.

  • Ensure adherence to established procedures for client check-in, intake, and service setup.
  • Provide guidance and support to front desk staff and assist with training on policies and workflows.
  • Troubleshoot scheduling issues and resolve client concerns, escalating as needed.
  • Maintain waitlist processes, including communication and documentation.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to students, visitors, and campus partners.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct clients appropriately.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, scanning, and maintaining records.
  • Support overall office operations and assist with additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

:

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Bachelor''s degree and one year administrative experience; or high school diploma or GED and five years administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
