Job Specifications

Join a collaborative team where your organizational skills, initiative, and attention to detail help support the departments mission every day. This position provides administrative support to executive leadership and multiple business units, coordinating a variety of confidential projects, records, and operational activities that contribute to efficient, responsive public service.

What Youll Do:

  • Support the Underground Utilities & Public Infrastructure (UUPI) General Managers Office and multiple business units by coordinating administrative activities that keep the department running smoothly.
  • Prepare and process City Commission agenda items, public records requests, contracts, change orders, purchasing card transactions, and other department documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain and update department resources, including the organizational chart, SharePoint site, and Strategic Plan information to ensure employees have access to current and reliable information.
  • Welcome visitors, coordinate meetings, manage conference room scheduling, and provide administrative support for special projects, employee events, and departmental initiatives.
  • Assist Building Maintenance, Human Resources, and Development & Training with a variety of administrative assignments while maintaining confidentiality and exceptional customer service.
  • Promote a safe, collaborative workplace by supporting City values, following safety practices, and serving as a dependable resource for the department.

Minimum Training & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in business or public administration or a degree accepted in the field in which the vacancy exists;

OR

  • High School diploma or GED;
  • Four (4) years of experience of staff or administrative experience

Necessary Special Requirements

  • At the department directors discretion, a valid Class E State driver's license may be required for any of the designated positions allocated to this class.

Salary Range

$21.6689 to $58.7999/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $29.9764/hour.
