The Administrative Specialist serves as a primary point of contact and advocate for students within the School of Radiologic Sciences. This student-centered role is responsible for providing comprehensive support to current and prospective students, ensuring a positive and seamless academic experience from inquiry through program completion. The specialist will work closely with students to assist with program navigation, academic planning, scheduling, and general problem-solving, while also supporting the day-to-day operations of the School.
In addition to directly supporting students, this position will also perform a range of administrative and faculty support functions. These include, but are not limited to, coordinating program communications, maintaining student records, assisting with academic scheduling, managing student events and orientations, and providing fiscal and logistical support such as budget tracking, travel planning, and data collection. A key focus of this role is to ensure that all processes and interactions are student-friendly and designed to promote student success and satisfaction.
This position also requires maintaining an updated list of department resources, student advisement, preparations for graduation, and helping students with Independent Study contracts.

Education:
Associate's degree in education, healthcare, business administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in student services, academic advising, administrative support, or a related role in higher education.
Experience working directly with students in a support or advisory capacity.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality, student-centered service in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) and comfortable learning new systems (e.g., student information systems, scheduling software) and utilizing social media.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks, such as recruitment and event planning, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Administrative Competencies:
Experience with or ability to learn budget tracking, travel planning, and academic record-keeping.
Familiarity with FERPA guidelines and confidentiality protocols related to student records.
