Administrative Specialist III

Do you have a talent for keeping processes running smoothly and a sharp eye for detail? The Tallahassee Police Department is looking for someone to lead all aspects of their centralized procurement process within Financial Management.
In this role, youll take ownership of departmental procurement processes and procedures, reviewing and refining them as needs evolve. Youll monitor compliance, communicate changes clearly to staff and stakeholders, and serve as a go-to resource when questions or issues come up. Youll also supervise staff within Financial Management, helping guide their day-to-day work and professional growth.
Beyond procurement, youll play a key role in the departments financial operations. Youll oversee the deposit of all departmental proceeds and support your supervisor with accounting tasks, budgetary analysis, budget preparation, and financial reporting.
This position also carries department signature authority on behalf of the Chief of Police, allowing you to expedite procurement transactions and keep critical purchases moving efficiently.

Minimum Training & Experience
Possession of a bachelor's degree in business or public administration, or a degree accepted in the field for which the vacancy exists.

Four years of technical, staff or administrative experience related to the field in which the vacancy exists.

Possession of a high school diploma or GED and eight years of technical, staff or administrative experience related to the field in which the vacancy exists.
