Job Summary
Michigan Health Corporation ("MHC") is currently seeking an administrative specialist to join its team. The MHC team supports and oversees multiple healthcare ventures with outside partners including the initiation and termination as needed and the administrative specialist holds a key role in all administrative aspects of MHC's activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all administrative activities of Michigan Health Corporation. In this role, you will be a focal point of communication between MHC, it's ventures / outside partners, and internal U-M stakeholders. Activities broadly include:
Support MHC Board, Venture Boards, and Subcommittees
Operational Support of Wholly Owned Ventures
Office Management
You will work closely with the MHC team, Michigan Medicine, and partner executives and their offices, partner front-line employees, and internal U-M / Michigan Medicine services.

Work Schedule
The work schedule of this position aligns with the business hours of MHC, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position requires a portion of onsite time each week (approximately 20% - 40% on average) in addition to monthly in-person department meetings and other onsite meetings as needed. Outside of scheduled onsite time, remote work is a possibility.

Michigan Health Corporation ("MHC"), a unit within Michigan Medicine's Department of Strategy, is solely owned and operated by the University of Michigan. As part of U-M Health, MHC pursues and oversees collaborative healthcare ventures with outside entities.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
