Position Summary
The Department of Biological Sciences at Winston-Salem State University invites applications for an Administrative Support Associate. The department is one of the University's largest undergraduate teaching units, serving biology majors, students in STEM and health sciences programs, and those completing general education requirements. The Administrative Support Associate serves as the department's primary administrative and operational support professional, coordinating a broad range of academic, financial, personnel, and operational functions. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in higher education and a background in biology, another natural science, or a science-based academic environment.
Responsibilities of the Administrative Support Associate include:

The department provides instruction for biology majors, supports STEM and health sciences programs, and offers biology courses that fulfill general education requirements. Faculty are engaged in teaching, scholarship, undergraduate research, academic advising, mentoring, and service, advancing the University's mission of student success, academic excellence, and community engagement.
